For the International Youth Dance and Music Festival 2019, we designed a series of nine stages and backdrops across various sites in Macau. This event was focused on promoting youth arts education and enhancing the artistic culture of Macao, providing a platform for young performers to showcase their talents.

The purpose of our stage designs was to inspire and empower youth, encouraging them to strive for their artistic goals. The largest stage, set at the Macao Forum for the Youth Dance Festival Closing Ceremony, featured a massive pair of wings spanning 11 meters wide on either side, symbolizing the freedom and potential for young artists to spread their wings and shine.

For the Youth Festival, each stage was designed to reflect the themes of aspiration and achievement, creating a vibrant atmosphere for performers. The closing ceremony’s winged backdrop not only provided a striking visual but also served as a powerful metaphor for the dreams and ambitions of the youth, encouraging them to take flight in their artistic journeys.
